Mary Lou DeGraeve

Mary Lou (Kimmel) DeGraeve of Jackson went to join her husband, Edgar and two sons, Donald (Gale) and James DeGraeve on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health at the age of 93 years. She was the daughter of Jacob and Sara (Will) Kimmel born May 5, 1928 in Shanksville Pennsylvania; Mary Lou is survived by two children, Ed (Patty) DeGraeve and Susan Dupra; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Terry DeGraeve.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar DeGraeve, sons Donald and James, daughter-in-law Gale and her parents. Mary Lou attended high school and some college in State College Pennsylvania. She was a member of Arbor Hills Country Club and Audubon Society. Mary Lou loved her Lord, her family dearly and her cats Molly and Polly. She was the greatest mom and a beautiful person. Mary Lou never met a stranger and enjoyed taking in all that nature offered her. She enjoyed being with her family, bowling, flowers and golfing with her husband.  According to her wish cremation has taken place, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jackson County Animal Shelter 3370 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, Michigan 49203.
