Hunt, Mary Judith “Judy”

Of Jackson, passed away August 12, 2024 age 84 years.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ken, two daughters; Sue Anderson and Ann (Duane) Smiley, one son Jim (Cathy) Hunt, all of Jackson, nine grandchildren; Stephanie (Jerel) Tripp, Allyson (Austin) LaRocque, Maggie Emmert, Brittany (Brock) VanZandt, Alex Hunt, Emma Smiley, Tim Smiley, Owen Hunt and Sarah Smiley, nine great-grandchildren, one brother Michael (Cammie) Cavanaugh of Okemos and four nieces. She was preceded in death by one son Timothy Hunt, her parents Norbert and Leonilla Cavanaugh, nephew Brian Cavanaugh and sister-in-law Phyllis Miller.  She retired from Queen’s Elementary School after 25 years of service, loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, camping with her family and going to lunch with her friends.  Mrs. Hunt was an active member of Queen of the Miraculous Church where Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 am Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Interment St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm, Rosary at 7:45pm and at the church Friday from 10:00am until the time of service.
