Marjorie I. Hartford

Marjorie Irene Hartford, 78 years, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Jackson, MI.  She was the daughter of Rex and Evelyn Foster born on June 4, 1944 n Coldwater Michigan.  She is survived by three children Joe McBride, Robyn McBride and Lisa (Kip) Snow; six grandchildren Eric (Melissa McBride, Ashley (Amy) McBride, Cassie (Brandon Webb) McBride, Tara (James) Lennox, Kevin (Sammi Pelton) Snow and Bobbi Shaw; “oodles” of great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Evelyn Foster; her husbands Charles (Jerry) McBride, Donald Bortell and Randy Hartford; brother Michael Foster and sister Carol Farmer.

Marjorie was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre.  She was a “problem solver” and loved to give advice.  There was always an “open door policy.  She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  And she was loved by everyone.

There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Vandercook Baptist Church, 703 E. McDevitt Avenue, Jackson, MI with Pastor Kyle Vegter officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
