Marinus Terrence Musselman, also known as “Terry” Age 84, passed away in Jackson, Michigan on April 3, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.
He was born October 10, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Lottie Lucile Moe and Marinus Stephen Musselman.
Terry was a graduate of Ferris State University and also served in the United States Coast Guard from 1960-1964, and Auxiliary Coast Guard. He worked as an architect with Consumers Energy company for over 50 years and out of those years, only took one sick day.
He was married to Mary Linda Fairley for over 30 years until her passing April 20, 2014.
Terry is survived by his son, Evan Musselman, his late wife’s children, Erik Weatherwax, and Jenny Weatherwax; grandchildren, Providence, Mira, Jordan, and Ty; his brother, Steven Musselman, and his sister, Joy Musselman; as well as his niece Shannon and nephew, Chad.
Shortly after his wife’s passing, Terry found companionship with Noel Grant for 10+ years until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his late wife, Mary.
Terry will be remembered for his love of boating on the Great Lakes, classic cars, his passion for architecture – drawing something every day. His love of travel to the Florida Keys, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Kentucky. Most notably, he captained the retired Coast Guard Ship Bramble after private efforts of restoration.
Per the request of his family, cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
