Margaret “Margie” Therese Molden, wife of Michael Thomas Sr., passed away at the age of 72 on April 8th , 2025, after a courageous battle with angiosarcoma. Margie was born on May 30th , 1952, in Jackson, MI. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, her children Melissa (Jason) Blood, Michelle Risner, Melanie Molden and Michael (Catherine) Molden Jr., grandchildren Brendan and Drew Blood, Maisey Schuler (Kyle Franson), Marek Risner, Zachary Phillips and Sophie and Michael Molden III. She is also survived by her sister Helen Fleming and brother George (Jacki) Staudacher as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving is her lifelong friend Roseann (Augustine) Gray.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Arnold and Mary Elinor (Beissel) Staudacher, her in laws Oral J and Helen Sophie (Marzec) Molden, sister Anne Fisher and son in law Michael Risner. Margie spent many years working in the Jackson community at Field’s, JC Penney, Jacobson’s and retired after 15 years as a teller at TRUE Community Credit Union where she was treasured by her coworkers and members.
She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the St. Timothy Circle, St. Joseph Guild. Margie was a gifted talker who loved to spend time with her family, especially at all her grandchildren’s events. Her love for cats and dogs was a constant source of joy in her life.
Visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd., Jackson, MI 49203 on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm, Rosary service at 6:30pm.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Joseph Church, 707 N. Waterloo Ave., Jackson, MI 49202 beginning at 11am on Tuesday April 15th , 2025, with Father Chas Canoy officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church beginning at 10am.
Margie was the love of Michael’s life, his soul mate, and her passing has left an enormous hole in his heart.
