Marcia J. (Melchert) Emmons

Marcia J. Emmons, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025 at Brightside Memory Care Facility. Marcia was born on March 4, 1939, in Jackson, Michigan to Francis “Roy” and Bernice Melchert. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Compton and survived by her daughters and son-in-law Vicki and Don Roberts along with Shelly Emmons. Her memories are kept alive in her sister Vivian and husband Eric Micol as well as Marcia’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marcia was an avid cook having owned Marcia’s Cafe in Michigan Center for almost 20 years. With the support of loving friends, family, and Brightside staff, Marcia lived life to the fullest extent. At her request no service will be held, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her honor to Jackson County Animal Shelter to support her love of animals.
