Lorraine Kay Webb

Of Jackson – Lorraine K. Webb, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. She was born in Jackson, Michigan, on December 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Delbert Charles and Virginia Lucille Pierce Weathers.

She graduated from Jackson High School and retired from Summit Park Assisted Living, where she dutifully served as the kitchen manager.

A devout Christian and steadfast in her relationship with the Lord, Lorraine was a member of Sandstone Congregation Church in Jackson, MI, and Peace River Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, FL.

Lorraine was an avid baker. Some of her best goodies included thumbprint cookies, fudge nut bars, and her unforgettable, utterly delicious, chocolate pie! She loved traveling with her husband and family, especially going on cruises, and spent her winters in Punta Gorda, Florida. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Suzie.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold Webb, and dear aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her siblings, Dennis (Jean) and Chuck Weathers; children, Steven Schafer, Douglas (Ivette) Smith, Michelle (Ken) Plum, Melissa Smith, Dan (Tara) Smith; her grandchildren, Ashley and Heidi Smith, Josh Friedel, Kenny and Lilly Plum, Jackson and Jayna King, Brayden, Cole, Macy Smith, and Sabrina Gonzalez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many special neighbors and friends. She also leaves behind her precious kitty, Suzie.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, November 6, from 4-7pm and Thursday, November 7, from 10-11am at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd., Jackson, MI 49203. A service will take place in the funeral chapel on Thursday at 11am, with Pastor Justin Nierer officiating. Graveside services to immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1425 N. Elm Rd., Jackson, MI 40202. A luncheon will follow at Veritas, 151 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the kind and attentive staff at the Summit Park Assisted Living facility, and to family and friends for their loving support throughout the past 8 months.
