Lori Jane Haueter (née Compeau), aged 63, of Jackson, MI, passed away on September 6,
2024. Born in Wyandotte on December 15, 1960, Lori was a vibrant and spirited individual
known for her infectious laughter and stylish flair. A devoted wife to her husband, Kevin Haueter
(Heavenly Kevinly), loving mother to her sons, Zach and Jake Haueter, Lori’s profound loyalty
and love deeply touched all who knew her.
Lori’s educational journey began at Trinity Wyandotte and continued through Carlson High
School, culminating in a degree from Michigan Technological University. Professionally, Lori
was a versatile individual, having worked as a Civil Engineer with PE Certification, a Math
Teacher, a realtor, and a Homemaker, enriching many lives in each of these roles.
An avid enthusiast of the outdoors and various activities, Lori enjoyed golf, axe throwing,
shooting, biking, rowing, camping, bowling, running, swimming, skiing, and cherished time spent
with her pets. Her home was filled with love not only for her family but also for her new puppy,
Coco Channel, and her cat, Rexi.
Lori is survived by her husband, Kevin; sons, Zach (Kaitlyn) and Jake; mother, Beverly
Wisniach; brother, Kurt Compeau; along with numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her father, Kaye Compeau, and stepfather, Joe Wisniach.
Friends and family are invited to attend the viewing sessions at Watson Funeral Home, 2590
Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI, on Monday, September 9, from 5 pm to 8 pm, as well as
Tuesday, September 10, starting at 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church. The funeral service will
be held on Tuesday, September 10, at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 122 W Wesley St.,
Jackson, MI, followed by a luncheon at Cascades Manor House, 1970 Kibby Road, Jackson,
MI.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lori may be made to the Cascade Humane Society.
