Lois Jean Davisson of Jackson, passed away at her daughter Sharon’s home after a long illness on May 19, 2022 at the age of 92. Born January 15, 1930 in Jackson, MI the daughter of Lester John and Doris E. (White) Hughes. She graduated from Jackson High School. Lois retired from Ryerson-Hanes as an accountant after 30 years of service. She enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitching, bowling, and traveling.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon J. (Brian) Bates; sons, Philip L. (Kathy) Davisson and Greg J. (Valerie) Davisson; daughters-in-law, Patty Davisson and Cindy Davisson; 6 grandchildren, Aris L. (Samantha) Bates, Ashley A. (David) Fiero, Ben Davisson, Aaron Davisson, Bree (Kevin) Travis, and Christopher (Roberta) Davisson; great-grandchildren, Henlee Fiero, Trenton, Rhiannon, and Tomas Travis, Jarrod, Hannah, Nolan, Chloe, and Abby Davisson, and Silas and Dahlia Davisson; brother, Harold Hughes; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Nolan L. Davisson; sons, Gary L. and Paul A. Davisson; siblings, Betty Phillips, Esther Davisson, Margorie DeLong, Nancy Skinner, and John Hughes.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 25, at Roseland Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor Michael Mason officiating. Memorial Services will be held later. Contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice Foundation in memory of Lois Jean.
