Lloyd Ernest Donley

Lloyd Donley, 55, of Hanover, MI, went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2023. “Good Friday.”  He passed at home in the loving care of his best friend and roommate of 16 years, Rick Henderson and niece Jessie Seelye.

Lloyd was born February 25, 1968, in Jackson, MI to Phyllis (Wilmoth) and Robert Donley. He is survived by his siblings, Linda (Doug) Sosa, Mike (Pam) Donley, Mark (Pat) Donley, Jim Donley, Renee Miles, & Kim Wright, several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, and close friends that he regarded as family. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Lloyd finished his high school education at Western Adult Education, earning his diploma. He always talked about going “Up North” and it being his happy place. He loved boating, swimming, and camping. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and spending time with friends and family.

Per his request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at The Arbor Church (formerly known as Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church) Sunday, April 23 at 2:00pm.  Family will receive friends for visitation starting at 1:30pm until time of service with Pastor Darold Hill officiating. Following service, a meal will be provided at the Draft Horse Diner, 119 Marshall Street, Litchfield, MI 49252 (If able, please RSVP with a family member).  Interment will take place 11:00am on April 24, at Maxon Cemetery in Jackson, MI for family and a few close friends. Due to his love for dogs and cats and at Lloyd’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Humane Society.
