Lisa Renea Withrow

Of Spring Arbor, Michigan went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the age of 57. Lisa was the daughter of Charles Paul and Martha (Shaneyfelt) Burton born January 6, 1963 in Winchester, Indiana. She is survived by her loving husband, Craig Withrow; three sons, Robert L. (Katie) Withrow II, Ross (Colleen) Withrow, and Roman Withrow; four grandchildren, Avery Rose, Lily Paige, Breslin Reed, and Everett William; sister, Cindy (Jim) Fidler; brothers, Chris (Claudetta) Burton, and Scott Burton; mother-in-law, Joan Withrow; brothers-in-law, Kent (Rhonda) Withrow and Scot (Debbie) Withrow; special childhood friend, Mary Kay Walters; special adopted softball daughter, Hope Longenbarger; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Martha Burton; siblings, Tracy Burton, Stephen Burton, Charla Meade, and Monica Thorn; father-in-law, Robert Withrow; brother-in-law, Mark Withrow; and sister-in-law, Keitha Wilkinson. She was a graduate of Napoleon High School and Baker College where she received an Associate of Applied Science Degree with a certification as a Medical Insurance Specialist. Lisa worked for the Department of Corrections for 22 years as a correction officer and 10 years at other various correctional positions. After retiring from Corrections, Lisa worked for DK Security at Consumers Energy in Jackson for two years, then joining her husband Craig for retirement in October 2019. She served her country honorably in the United States National Guard for 12 years. Lisa was a member of Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church. She served in the cell group ministry for teens, was a sound technician and most recently was starting to help out with the Welcoming Ministry. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts with her family and friends, especially her granddaughters Avery and Lily. Lisa enjoyed traveling, especially following the Spring Arbor University Softball Team and watching them during spring training in Florida. She loved reading and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite love was being around her grandchildren and caring for them. According to Lisa’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church, 120 E. Main Street, Spring Arbor, Michigan 49283 on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:30pm, Reverend Darold L Hill and Pastor Kaye Kolde officiating. Interment will take place at Spring Arbor Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00pm until the time of service at 1:30pm.
