Leone Lorraine Elder

Leone L. Elder of Jackson, passed away on October 7, 2024, Age 102 years.  She is survived by two sons, and one daughter; Barry (Amy) Elder of Manistee, Michigan; Roger (Linda) Elder; and Dianne (Chris) Scheele, all of Jackson.  Five grandsons: Troy (Lorenzo), Barry (Tracey), Jason (Jennifer), Corey (Becca) Elder, and Brad (Natalie) Bice. Nine great-grandchildren, nephew James Dunn, and her life-long friend of 83 years, Kay VanGieson.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward J., one sister, Mardeen Dunn, and one nephew David Dunn.  She loved dancing and was a member of multiple dancing clubs.  She also enjoyed traveling and camping. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at South Jackson Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Cascade Humane Society – 1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, MI.  49202
