Lee E Ransom of Jackson, MI went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ransom, brother Louie and his parents. He is survived by his children, Kelly McCloughan (Jack), Kyle Ransom (Penny), Brandon Ransom (Lindi), David Ransom (Danielle), Julie Robichaud (Paul), Yvonne Ransom (David Tello); Grandchildren Christopher Ransom, Alex Ransom, Rachel Buckley (Jeff), Morgan Black (Hayden), Mason McCloughan, Shelby Ransom, Carter Ransom, Erin Ransom, Brittany Hine, Hailee Hine, Dawson Ransom; Sister-in-laws Sharon Ransom, Sharon Holton (Gordie), several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his best bud Chubby.
Lee graduated from Jackson High School in 1962. He retired as a Captain from the Jackson City Fire Department after 25 years of service. He was an avid bowler, a member of the Jackson Bowling Hall of Fame and youth hockey coach for several years. He was his kids and grandchildrens biggest fan, and spent countless hours in the stands cheering us all on. Lee had a big heart and he loved fiercely. A big thank you to special neighbors Theo and Susan Nash, for the countless times they took care of Dad and Chubby.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 8, 2021 at 11 am at the Jackson Free Methodist Church, 2829 Park Rd, Jackson, MI. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to bring jars of peanut butter for the JFM Feeding Program or provide a financial donation to the JFM Feeding Program, 2829 Park Drive, Jackson MI 49203.
