Lux, Lawrence Frank “Larry”, Age 83 of Jackson, MI, went home to be with his Lord on October 23, 2024. Larry was the son of Matthew & Maudella Lux born January 13, 1941 in Kittanning, PA. He graduated Ford City High School in 1960 and joined the U.S. Air Force honorably serving from 1960-1968 as a jet engine mechanic working on turbo engine at airbases in Michigan and Germany. He reached the rank of sergeant. He began his career at Hayes-Albion as a maintenance millwright in 1970, later joining the Lansing Board of Water & Light retiring on Sept. 8, 2012 after 33 ½ years of service. Larry was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Jackson Chapter 109. He was true tinker, always working on something. He loved his trucks and taking his beloved dog Sophie with him driving around visiting.
Larry is survived by his brother-in-law, James W. Allen; nephew, Scott and Karen Allen; niece, Alicia and Chris St. John; his companion his pet dog, Sophie; along with many other family members, friends, and his fellow veterans. Larry was preceded in death by his wife in 2017, Karen Elizabeth Lux; his parents.
Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Horton Cemetery, Tripp Road, Horton, Michigan. Military Honors will be provided by Vietnam Veteran's of America, Chapter 109.
