Laura Jo Miller

Miller, Laura Jo, of Horton, Age 77 passed away at home January 6, 2025. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Forrest of 51 years; her brother, Lee; sister June, and parents Durward & Leawanna Taylor.

She is survived by her children; son, Kent Miller; daughter, Heather (Joel) Beans; son, Michael (Crystal) Miller; sister Juanita (Rusty) Brix; sister-in-laws, Pat Taylor and Shara Miller; grandchildren, Sara, Alex (Danielle) Chloe, Kayla, Maddie, Shelby, and Gabe; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Laura loved her family with all her heart and always kept herself busy gardening, antiquing, and spending time with family, and especially spoiling her grandkids. 

Laura was a graduate of Napoleon High School and worked at Jacobson’s for 30 years and finished her career working at Walmart Pharmacy in Hillsdale until retirement.

Also, a special mention to close friend Peggy Mathes whom she had a special bond with and loving neighbors John and Stacey Blakley who she considered family and loved like her children. 

Laura loved and was loved by so many.  She will be terribly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Watson Funeral Chapel – 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, from 10:00am until the time of service and the funeral service will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Bart Hall Officiating. A luncheon at Hillside Methodist Church - 6100 Folks Road, Hanover, MI.  49246 will take place beginning at 2:00pm.
