Larry David Minton

Larry David Minton of Spring Arbor, MI passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the age of 74. He was the son of Wayne and Lillian (Kennedy) Minton, born May 8, 1946 in Jackson, MI. Larry will be missed and survived by his loving wife of many years, Joan Minton, several children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his brother, George (Evelyn) Minton; sister, Ruth (J.D.) Mullaney; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; his lifelong friend and golf partner, Jim (Betty) Nelson; and his Thursday league golf buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. Larry received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and used that degree to become a senior buyer for Eaton Corporation where he retired after many years of service. Larry was an avid sports fan, especially for the MSU Spartans teams. He loved to golf, be the grill master for family cookouts, and spend time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Spring Arbor Church of the Nazarene, 8200 King Road, Spring Arbor, MI 49283 on Monday, September 7, 2020 at 1:00pm with Pastor Lonny Baumgardner officiating. According to his wishes, cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00pm until the time of service at 1:00pm.
