Kurt went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2020 after a long battle with several terminal illnesses. Kurt was born December 4, 1954 in Jackson, MI to Robert and Margaret Staggemeier of Jackson, MI. He was a charter member of the Father William Dierson Council of the Knights of Columbus. Kurt enjoyed time with friends and family, hunting, shooting sporting clays, boating, and just about anything to do with the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Kurt is survived by his wife, Pat and one daughter, Anne (Keala) Lorenzo,; two grandchildren, Troy Staggemeier and Dylan Lorenzo; one sister, Kim (Tony) Rowdon; and several nieces and nephews. It is impossible to list everyone individually, but the Staggemeier family would like to give a special thank you to all those who went out of their way, during his illness, to make Kurt more comfortable and happier in so many ways. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private family Rosary will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 3:00pm with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. According to his wishes, cremation will follow the rosary. The Rosary will be lived streamed on our website at watson-funeral-chapels.com, under Kurt’s obituary, please select the live-stream icon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
