Kenneth Frank Loud, 94, of Spring Arbor, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 4, 2021 at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice.
Kenneth was born November 1, 1926 in Jackson, Michigan to Fred J. and Ethelyn M. (Bean) Loud. Kenny is survived by his wife, Pauline L. (Schiller) Loud, who he married December 9, 1950 and celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2020. He is also survived by his children, Marlene K. Hedgspeth, Nancy E. (Steve) Solsberg, Fred J. Loud, Richard K. Loud, Karen A. Loud and Susan M.(Steve) Cruthers; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grand children; his sister, Eleanor Trowbridge, his sister in law Aletta Loud and family friend Terri Reeves. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Fred J. Loud, his mother Ethelyn M. Loud, his step-mother, Ethel Loud, his sister Dorothy L. Spry, his brother Willard F. Loud and grandson Jason P. Hedgspeth.
Kenneth served in World War II from February 1945 to August 1946 as a Pharmacist’s Mate. He was called back to duty during the Korean Conflict in May 1951 until September 1952 where he was attached to the Marine’s as a Pharmacist’s Mate. Kenneth returned from the military to the family farm, Loud Brothers, until his retirement. Ken’s family started Loud’s Dairy in the 40’s that eventually became Loud and Jackson’s All-Star Dairy and now is known as the Parlor. He was one of the first volunteers for the Spring Arbor Fire Department. Kenny restored several Model A’s and was a member of the Model A Club in Jackson for a number of years. He enjoyed family gatherings, wood working, bird watching and watching all the wild life on the farm.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
