Kenneth Allen Lane

Lane, Kenneth A. of Tavares, FL, formerly of Concord, MI went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home at the age of 81.  Kenneth was the son of Mary (Jackson) Lane Watson and Louis Mills Lane on July 28, 1943 in Mongomery, MI.

He is survived by two children, Lewis (Patty Lane) Lane and Peggy (Chad) Lewis; six grandchildren, Kyle, Jessica (Korey), Alicia (Art), Andy, Jamie, and Bo (Autumn); seven great-grandchildren, Khloe, Kameron, Aria, Bronson, Benten, Milah, and Ares; siblings, Steve, Debbie, Mick, and Sharon; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Life-long friends, Sue and Jerry, and many other friends from their community. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marlene Lane in 2016; mother and step-father, Mary and Legrand Watson; father, Louis Mills Lane; siblings, Leslie, Sandy, Jim, Judy and Patty.

Kenneth attended Montgomery Elementary in Michigan and Camberline High in Florida.  He retired from Eaton Corp. at age 50, and continued with his business the Hobbit Place, started in 1975 until 2012.  He enjoyed golf leagues, gardening, traveling and cruised with wife, Marlene, family and friends.

The Celebration of Kenneth’s Life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson 49203 with Michael D. Mason officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Somerset Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital
