Kenneth W Caldwell

Ken passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 peacefully with Sherry and Derick by his side.  He was 69 years old.  Born November 20, 1956 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son, Verlin Caldwell and Thelma (Lykins) Caldwell.  He attended Springport Schools class of 1975.  He was a retired truck driver with over 25 years of service. He enjoyed working with his hands, and had a passion for cars and racing.  He loved taking care of his lawn and working outside.  Ken married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Dixon, and together they have shared 46 years of marriage, family, and love.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Caldwell; his son, Derick Caldwell; granddaughter, Lauren; siblings: Sheryl (Kahny), Barbara, Lola, Verlin (Barb), Dan (Jo), Sherry, Allen (Debbie), Teresa (Bill), Dan (Cindy), and Mark (Melody) and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Verlin Caldwell, Sr.; mother, Thelma Caldwell; and brother, Bruce.

The Celebration of Ken’s Life will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49203 with Michael D. Mason officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until service time Thursday.  For those wishing, contributions may be made to Countryside Court Activities, 2123 Robinson Rd, Jackson, MI 49203 in memory of Ken.
