Kellen David McCord

Kellen David McCord, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on November 13, 2021 at the age of 14. He is survived by his parents, Corey and Jennifer (Kelly) McCord; his brothers, Jakob and Brayden McCord, his grandparents, David and Sharon McCord; his uncle/aunt, Brian and Melissa McCord; his uncle/aunt Michael and Deanna McCord and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother Nicholas and his grandfather, Rick Kelly.

He was a 9th grade student at Lumen Christi High School and attended Queen of the Miraculous Medal Elementary School in Jackson, Michigan.  Kellen enjoyed being with his family, hanging out with his friends, going to school, hockey, and spending time with his beloved dog, Buster. He was an avid University of Michigan football, basketball and hockey fan and enjoyed attending many games over the years.

Kellen’s family gives a special thank you to the amazing doctors, nurses and staff at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital for the exceptional care that they provided to Kellen over the last ten (10) years.

Kellen’s family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Please express your condolences to the family at www.watston-funeral-chapels.com.  A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Kellen’s life will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Timothy MacDonald as the Celebrant. Private interment will take place at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. The funeral will also be livestreamed on the Church’s website: www.queenschurch.com or on Facebook at ‘Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church’
