Kay Dianne Cogan

Kay Dianne Cogan, age 85, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on November 10th, 2021 in Parma, Michigan after a short battle with cancer.   Dianne was born on September 16th, 1936 in Jackson, Michigan to Thompson and Bernice Wallace. After graduating from Parma High School in 1954, Dianne served at the Parma Post Office from 1966-1992 and retired as the Post Master.  Dianne was happily married to Lyle Cogan, her high school sweetheart, for 65 years at the time of her death. 

Dianne is survived by her husband, children: Sherri (Aaron) Phillips, William Cogan, Michael Cogan (Bruce McDonald), and David Cogan; 2 grandchildren: Lindsey (Jake) Arcand, Lacey Phillips (Jason Swisher); and her brother, Larry Wallace.   Besides spending time with family, Dianne had a passion for helping others. Dianne had an ability to sense when others needed help and did not miss a beat to step in and support anyone that needed her. Dianne was also a proud member of the Friends of the Library group. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion to help others. 

Services will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parma Public Library or The American Cancer Society.
