Karen passed away March 29, 2026, at age 61 years.  She is survived by her sons, Andrew (Amanda) and Matthew Fisher; grandson, Miles Fisher of Brooklyn.  Her dog and companion, Cooper; sisters, Angie (Bill) Gillon of Brooklyn; mother and step dad, Tonjia and John Girkin of Jackson; step-mom, Shirlie Watson of Hanover; step-brother and sister, Tod (Gayle) Johnston of Jackson, Tami Johnston of Hanover; nephew, Brandon Webb (Cassie), Abbi, and Riley.  She was preceded in death by her dad, J.D. Watson of Hanover.

Karen started her journey at the Cutty Sark followed by Dawn Food Products and went on to become a registered nurse at Henry Ford on the mother-baby unit for 14 years.  Karen was caring and compassionate.

She enjoyed dancing. She was a ballerina, baton twirling cheerleading and jazz dancing. She loved sharing recipes, church and spending time with family.  She is loved very much and will be missed by many.
