Judy Scarlett Gaitan

Judy Scarlett Gaitan of Brooklyn, MI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the age of 81. Judy was the daughter of Jack and Hazel Hall, born January 8, 1942 in North Carolina. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Gaitan; her daughter, Donna (Jon) Christian; step-children, Jenina Fletcher and Robin Gaitan; grandchildren, Andrew (Kate) Volk and Ashley Nicole (Rick Jayne); step-grandchildren, Corey Gaitan and Evan Fletcher; great-grandchildren, George, Florence, Madalynn, Ryland, Briella, and Taelyn; two sisters, Carole Cook and Kim Hall; six brothers, Jackie Hall, Keith Hall, Gary Hall, Darius Hall, Ronnie Hall, and Rick Marx. Judy was preceded in death by her first husband, Pat Corning; and her parents. She worked as a Cosmatologist for many years and then for Canteen services for 20 years. Judy enjoyed cooking, gardening, interior decorating, and her beloved pets. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandma who loved her family very much. Judy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson Animal Shelter, 3370 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203.
