Judith Ann “Judy” Spooner of Jackson, passed away while wintering in Orlando, Florida January 7, 2022 aged 73 years. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steve; one son Scott (Amy) Spooner of Saline, one daughter Jennifer Spooner (Jerry Bartelson); three grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jack and Sean Spooner; one sister Marcia Lubaway, two brothers Joseph Lubaway III (Barbara Roberts) and Michael (Julie) Lubaway; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister Mary Lou Lubaway. She was a devoted wife and Teacher’s Aide at Harper Creek for several years before becoming a dedicated mother and eventually loving grandmother, participating in many of her grandchildren’s activities. Judy and her husband are longtime members of The Country Club of Jackson. She was an artist and also enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially playing Euchre.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church 211 Harmon Ave. in Concord, Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00am with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating, interment Spring Arbor Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Rosary at 7:30 pm and at the church Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter, 29777 Telegraph Rd. Southfield, MI 48034.
