Gibbons, Judith Ann “Judy” of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Judy was born on September 25, 1946 to Richard E. Stevens, Sr., and Rosalie J. Stevens (Dalton).
She is survived by her sister-in-law; Ann Stevens; two children, Patrick A. Gibbons, Jr., and Cherisse M. Peru as well as her grandchildren; Patrick Gibbons III, Alaster Gibbons (Makayla), Justin Gibbons, Zachary Gibbons, Tyler Peru (Amber), Briana Cheney (Devin), Alexis Miles, Dennis Piloske, Jr., (Dylan), Andrew Piloske, Isabella Piloske, along with her great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard E. and Rosalie J. Stevens, brother, Richard Stevens Jr., husband Patrick A. Gibbons, Sr., and her youngest child, Chaussette M. Piloske.
Judy graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1964. She retired from Consumers Energy after 30+ years. Judy was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Judy was a resilient Irish woman full of whit and sunshine. Her smile and laugh lit up the room. She was a giver at heart to all in need and was selfless always. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved and devoted all of her time to her children and grandchildren.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Her memorial service will be held at St. Mary Star of The Sea, in Jackson on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 at 10:00am with Fr. Tim Officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to St. Mary Star of The Sea Catholic Church during the service. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00am-10:00am until the time of service at 10:00am.
Guests are encouraged to wear hints of green as it was Judy’s favorite color. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff at Faith Haven Senior Care Center for their compassionate care of Judy.
