Of Jackson, MI passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health at the age of 92. He was born March 14, 1927, the son of Alexander and Feliksa (Kuklinski) Dempski in Jackson, MI. He is survived by his daughter, Jo Ann Colton and grandson, Tyler Colton (Kelly); special nieces, Julie Ann, Janice, Diane, and Kim; brother-in-law, Frank Morano (Gloria); plus many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Anna Mae; his parents; brothers, Alex, Adolph, and Norbert Dempski and sister, Lillian Marianski. Joe retired from Kelsey Hayes as Quality Control Inspector. He served his country in WWII, was Scoutmaster of Troop 408 of the Boy Scouts of America for 14 years, and volunteered at Foote Hospital, installing life lines around the Jackson area. He also was a member of the Wood Carvers Club and the Civil Defense Group servicing Jackson County. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 11:00am with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating, Joseph will be interred alongside his wife, Anna Mae in St. John Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:00 A.M. until the time service.
