John Walter Bachman of Jackson, MI passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the age of 90. He was the son of Penrose and Esther (Robinson) Bachman, born March 31, 1930 in Jackson, MI. John is survived by his two daughters, Susan (Donald) Thomas of Key West, FL, and Cynthia Marie Gonzales (Ron Huling); two grandsons, Timothy (Stephanie) Gonzales, and John (Haleigh Hammond) Gonzales; two great-grandchildren, Maceyn Gonzales and Gabriel John Gonzales; and one great-grandson on the way; his brother, Tom (Judy) Bachman; special life-long friends, Jim and Joan Dumbauld; and his special cat “Little Boy”. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bachman; daughter, Karen Bachman, and his parents. John served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Lumen Christi athletics. John loved spending time with his family and watching his grandson’s sporting events. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held. Memorial contributions for those who wish may be made to Lumen Christi Catholic High School Development Office 3483 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203-3686.
