Jimmie Dean Reiff passed away on January 17, 2026 at the age of 87 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on August 10, 1938 in Idaville, Indiana to James H. Reiff and Ellen I Russell.
Jimmie was a graduate of Jackson High School in 1957 and later went on to Trade School focusing on Tool & Die. He was also a proud veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1957-1963.
Jimmie married the love of his life, Peggy (Post) and together they shared 60 ½ years of marriage. They loved to travel together and enjoyed their family get togethers. Jimmie and Peggy, along with their son, Scott, owned and operated Brooklyn Coin Laundry and a vending business for many years.
Their family enjoyed camping, traveling, horseshoes, and family game nights creating memories that will stay with them forever.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Peggy (Post); their children, Susan (Jeffrey) Fouty, Kevin (Pamela) Reiff, Teresa (Dale) Sharrar, Mary Minard, Katherine (Trent) Torrence; Six grandchildren, Ivy (Jed) McNair, Nicole Reiff, Jake Minard, Adam Minard, Kyle Fouty, Preston (Stephanie) Reiff; Two step-grandchildren, Alan Torrence, Brittany (Matt) Cave; Great-Grandchildren, Olive, Emerlynn, Adalynn, Woodson; Sister, Vicky Kloack; and four nieces.
He is preceded in death by his son, Scott Reiff and his parents, James and Ellen Reiff.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 4:00-7:00pm at Watson Funeral Chapel – 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Watson Funeral Chapel beginning at 11:00am with Brad Rodgers and Kevin Reiff, Officiating. Miliary honors will be held and presented by the Brooklyn American Legion Post #315. Interment following at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions in Jimmie’s honor be made to Henry Ford Hospice Home, or the American Heart Association.
