Jim Ralph Jones

Jones, Jim R. 89, of Jackson, Michigan passed away on January 7, 2025.  He was the son of the late BJ and Miriam Jones and was born in Fowlkes, Tennessee on June 2, 1935. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Annette and his daughters, Lori Dillon of Jackson and Linda Halasz of Jackson; his granddaughter, Amanda (Andy) Phelps; Justin (Ashlee) Fitch; Ryan Fitch; Jason (Iesha) Jones, and Jacob Jones; and several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Steven R. Jones; brother Ray Jones, and sister Betty Wehrli. 

Jim always loved to share a snippet of knowledge or a story of the past to a listening ear. There was never a doubt that he was incredibly proud of his family’s roots. In their early retirement years Jim and Annette put thousands of miles on their truck hauling their RV all over the country. When not on the road, you would find them at Rockey’s Campground in Albion, MI where they spent many summers. More recently “Jones” was in his happy place sitting in his favorite chair with his cat Magee purring on his lap. He will be missed dearly by many.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
