Jill Bell Filip, 69, passed away June 29th, peacefully at home.
Jill was born September 9, 1954, in Jackson, the daughter of Gordon Loren and Betty Jo Hendrick. She was survived by her husband, Joseph S. Filip, her children Grange Bell, Elizabeth Bell, and Travis Bell, her step-children, Emily (Rich) Bradley, and Kaitlyn Filip, her grandchildren, Morgan and Keegan, her siblings Janice Hendrick (Gordon Ebbitt), David (Ann) Hendrick, Gordy (Renee) Hendrick, and Shelly (Buzz) Kasprzycki. Jill was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Christine Hendrick. Jill was the beloved Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Jill worked in the healthcare field, in nursing and administration, at UC San Diego Medical Center, and then continuing at Henry Ford Health, upon returning to Jackson to care for her mother. Jill was a very caring and nurturing soul, which she shared with many through her numerous volunteer efforts, including Habitat for Humanity, and the Interfaith Shelter.
Jill enjoyed filling her home with antiques and other items that expressed her colorful personality, visiting lighthouses across the State, and spending time at Pentwater, appreciating the water and a good book.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.
The family wishes to invite those that wish to visit and express their condolences, to a gathering at Steve’s Ranch House, Friday, July 12th, between 11:00am-2:00pm.
