Of Tacoma, Washington, formerly of Jackson, passed away March 1, 2021 at the age of 69. As a musician, singer, and song writer he toured the U.S. with the gospel group “Gingerbrook Fair”. He settled in Tacoma where he worked for many years. After retiring he attended Clover Park Technical College where he earned a degree in videography and produced several videos. He also formed the vocal group “Zamar” and recorded a C.D. He is survived by his brother, David L.H. Porter and sister, Delynn Ward, both of Jackson and best friend, Bill Charity of Tacoma.
