Jerry Lee Brown, age 80, of Jackson, Michigan peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born in Jackson, Michigan on February 18, 1942 to Harry and Emily Brown. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1961 and worked at Yard Man in Jackson and Thetford Corporation in Dexter, Michigan as a Manufacturing Engineer. Jerry served in the Army Reserves for six years. He lived a very active life and could often be found on a ball field, a golf course, a tennis court, or at the lake, but he most loved spending time with his family, whom he cherished. Jerry loved the Lord and his family and was blessed with many dear friends. He was a man of integrity who lived by example. He was often described as selfless, kind hearted, humble, loyal, generous, and devoted.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Kay (Hendrickson) of 57 years and his daughters and their spouses, Janelle (Scott) Buchler and Carolyn (Andrew) Clements. He found great joy in his five grandchildren, Hadleigh (Adam) Houghton, Bryce Buchler, Brogan Buchler, Hope Clements and Bennett Clements. Jerry is also survived by his brothers, Tom Brown and Jack Brown; his brother and sister-in-law’s, Jim (Bonnie) Hendrickson, Janet (Marty) Ritsch, and Mary Lou Dominick; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A homegoing celebration will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church, 2395 W. High Street, Jackson, Michigan on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00am with Pastor Michael Mason officiating. The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Christian Church on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The family will also receive friends at the church from 10:00am-11:00am on Friday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice or Cornerstone Christian Church.
