Jeff went to be with his Lord, his mother and his father, with his family by his side on Saturday July 26, 2025 at his home. He was age 57. He was born September 5, 1967 in Jackson, Michigan the son of Mitchell & Ann (Luke) Burdick.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Katherine (Weese) Burdick, of 26 years of marriage. Incredible years together, plus we’ve shared incredible years filled with love for our children, grandkids, and great-grandkids, cherishing memories made along the way.
He was a devoted father to: Melissa (Mike Dean), John Miller (Jessica Martin), and Ann (Paul Corry); grandkids: Tabitha, Ashtin, Andrew, Lucas, Lilah, Elijah, Isadora, Ethan, Austin Braylon, Haydon, Hayley, and Katherine; great-grandkids: Blake, Izabelle, Averie, Sophie, Jaliyah, Amiyah, Makiyah, and Mavis. His loving sisters and brothers: Gabrielle & Jim Thomas, Lori & Coty McRae, John & Janelle Spaulding, Michelle & Randy Lassiter, and Phil Wick. Nieces & nephews: Christie & Jess Trombley, Nic & Pam Wick, Shawn & Natalie Avery, Jaycob Avery, Trey Grantham, Danny Thomas, Kayra & Nathan Trenum, Audrey & Chase Bearden, Jessie & Cejae, Kevin Spaulding.
Great nieces and great nephews: Miya & Sawyer Avery; Kylie, Everlie, Kennedie, Oaklie Avery; Tyler & Amber, Rebbeca, Skye, Linkyn Wick; Ryan Wick; Grayson & Bennett Trenum; Camden; great-great nephew: Van’Cari Coleman. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mitch & Ann Burdick; mother-in-Law, Virginia (Hilts) Weese; father-in-Law, Lyle Alven Weese; sister-in-laws: Carol (Weese) Laford and Brenda (Hartzog) Weese; nephew: Robert Newman; great-nephew: Jeremiah Newman; granddaughter, Staci (See) Miller.
Jeff enjoyed quality time with family and friends. He was the “Life of the Party”. He never missed a NASCAR race. His favorite drives were Dale Earnhardt Sr. & JR. He was a avid fan Michigan football. He loved hockey, his team was the Redwings and Lions football for NFL. He loved all his dogs; they were his fur babies. Jeff had a heart of gold and when he was able he would help anyone he could. His friends were like his family & he became uncle “Jeffro” to all their children. He worked for many years as a carpenter and as a manufacturing line worker. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts in his younger years.
The Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Loomis Park Baptist Church, 2301 N. Elm St., Jackson, MI. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at church. The family would like to thank Elara Hospice for the care they provided for Jeff and the help they gave our family. We would also like to thank Watson Funeral Chapel for their care of Jeff. May God Bless You All.
