Jean Norma Strawser passed away peacefully on May 27th 2025, two days after her 93rd birthday, at the Ingham County Medical Care Facility where she was a resident for almost 3 years.
Jean held an array of jobs throughout her life, her first one as a telephone operator at the age of 16. She also worked as a hospital aid, a florist, and for many years at Right Aid as a cashier. Jean loved to bake and cook and was well known in the community for her delicious desserts and treats. Jean was faithful in her church attendance and found joy in sending thoughtful cards for every occasion. She loved to stay busy and claimed it was the secret to good health.
Jean is preceded in death by her daughter Gail Berry. She is survived by her sons Greg
Winkler and Larry Kinney.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th at 4:00pm at Vandercook Baptist Church located at 703 E. McDevitt Ave, Jackson MI.
