Janice Lynn Carter, 63, of Jackson passed away at home on November 9th, 2024. She was the mother of Cody, Kayla, and Carey McCullough and life partner to Wendy Osinski. She also leaves behind her fur baby Harley.
She is survived by her sisters Shirley Carter, Sharon (Reid) Barton, and Joyce (Ron) Roberts-Truman, her nieces Lynelle Roberts and Alex Roberts, nephew Lance Roberts.
She was proceeded in death by her father and mother Duane and Wilma Carter, and nephew Luke Roberts.
Jan spent her career serving the Jackson area at multiple restaurants, including one she co-owned along side Wendy, called McCarSki Cafe. In most recent years she has served on the board of A.R.E.
She spent 40+ years as a member of the Hand Bell Choir at her church at Calvary United Methodist. Her other passions include her love of Jack Skeleton, bacon, and advocating for mental health.
To honor Jan’s wishes she has been cremated. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church (925 Backus Street Jackson MI 49202) on Saturday November 23rd from 3-7pm. A light meal will be provided as the family welcomes guest.
