Janet "Jan" B Jones

Janet B. Jones (Parr), age 83, of Parma, Michigan, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, July 19th, surrounded by family. She was born on January 21, 1943, in Jackson, Michigan, to Sherman and Bernadine Parr.

Jan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Jones, whom she married in 1965 and with whom she shared a beautiful life raising their two sons in Parma. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her sons, Toby (Melissa) Jones and Todd Jones; her cherished grandchildren, Sam, Tyler, Sophie, Maddy, Caleb, and Justin; her loving siblings, MaryAnn Crawford, Pat Ripley, Sharon (Bob) Napier, Denise VanAntwerp, and Dan Parr; and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jan was a talented beautician and co-owned a salon in Parma alongside her dear friend, Pam. Her passion for her work was only matched by her love for her family and community.

She found joy in many hobbies, especially cheering on her Michigan Wolverines, golfing, bowling, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events—never missing a chance to be their biggest fan.

Jan will be remembered most for her warmth, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was truly a friend to all and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a short ceremony to follow at 12:00 p.m.
