Janet Ruth (Fortney) Storms

Of Jackson, MI passed away under the loving care of her daughter, Debbie Marcinkiewicz and hospice on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the age of 77. She was the daughter of Paul and Laah (Niehart) Fortney, born May 11, 1943 in Hicksville, OH. Janet is survived by her three children, Gerald (Kim) Storms, Kathleen (Mose) Storms-Smith, and Debbie (Wes) Marcinkiewicz; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Danielle, Micheal, Rickya, Brandon, Travis, and Maurice; seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, and Diana Stuart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary L. Storms; her parents; and brother, Larry Fortney. Janet owned and operated a day care for 35 years. She enjoyed teaching children, and loved her gardens and flowers. Janet loved to watch the wildlife in her yard, especially the deer, turkey, and fox. She also loved camping and traveling for years with her husband. A graveside service will be held at Spring Arbor Cemetery on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 11:00am with her nephew Pastor Paul Parker officiating.
