Janet L. Kreger, 74, passed away on June 21, 2021 one month shy of her 38th wedding anniversary to the love of her life Robert Kreger. Over the last 38 years together they enjoyed traveling by air and water and have covered 4 continents and numerous states for pleasure and his military training.
With her husband’s encouragement and support she returned to school receiving her high school diploma from Jackson High Adult Education as Valedictorian of her class in 1987 and then furthered her education by earning her Associate’s Degree from JCC and a Certificate in Child Care Development.
Janet was a waitress at Gilbert’s Steak House for many years but her love for children brought her many years of happiness thru Child Care and then owning and running Bojans Flower Shop along with her husband.
She had a natural talent for writing. She authored and had published 2 children’s books and some poetry. She always enjoyed drawing, painting and feeding the dogs.
Together with her husband they share 5 children: David (Julie) Pariseau, Brenda Pariseau, Michael (Christine) Kreger, Penny (Mark) Vulfling, Connie (Randy) Wilkinson; 11 grandchildren, Justin, Hannah, Adam, Bryanna, Brandon, Keri, Cade, Steven, Ashlee, Brett and Blake; 4 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lola, Aleia, and Rhythm and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Thelma Kelley; and her sisters, Shirley Brown, Joann Baum and Bonnie Felde.
The family will gather for Prayer Service at Watson Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 120 E. Wesley St, on June 24, 2021 at 1 pm with Father Timothy Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road.
