James (Jim) Edward Toland, 54, passed away at his longtime home in Adrian, Michigan on May 14, 2023. Jim was born June 26th, 1968, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Harold Lee Toland W. and Carol Ann Toland. He is survived by his mother Carol, wife Lisa, sons Nathan, Sean, Will (Ellora), Zach (Chloe), and Hunter, and his grandchildren Nathan, James, Jacob, Jeremiah, Lucas, Liam, Abigail, Noah, Theo, his brothers Ken (Kim) and Joe and their families.
One of the greatest joys in Jim's life was the opportunity to foster their beloved grandchildren. With open hearts, they embraced these young lives, providing them with a stable and loving environment. Jim's love for his grandchildren knew no bounds, as he poured his heart and soul into nurturing them with all the care and affection he possessed. Jim's selflessness knew no limits. He consistently put the needs and happiness of his family before his own, making countless sacrifices along the way. His dedication was unwavering, and he carried the responsibility of providing for his loved ones with grace and unwavering strength. Beyond his role as a provider, Jim was a beacon of love and support to all who sought solace in his presence. His genuine kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving an unforgettable mark on their hearts. Jim's humble nature and warm smile made him a true friend to those fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to his unwavering dedication to his family, Jim had a deep appreciation for nature and found solace in the peaceful serenity of fishing. With a fishing rod in hand, he would spend hours by the water's edge, patiently waiting for a bite. This love for fishing was not only a personal passion but also a way for Jim to bond with his sons and grandchildren. He took great joy in passing down his knowledge and teaching them the art of fishing, creating treasured memories that will forever be cherished. Jim's love for the outdoors and his desire to share that love with his family will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of casting a line alongside him.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, 1111 Carlton Blvd, Jackson, MI 49203 on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10:30am with visitation with family from starting at 9:30am at the church before the memorial service.
