James Ford Boyce

James Boyce - age 68, passed peacefully in his home on June 27th 2025. He is survived by his wife Jo Ellen, mother-in-law Ruth Blaugh, daughter Andrea and her husband Adam, his son-in-law Matt Schweda, and his 3 grandchildren, Harper, Rowyn and Avery. And the mother of his girls, Becky Boyce, sister Colleen(Tom) Smigielski and brother David (Shari) Boyce.  He is preceded in death by his parents Homer Boyce and Janet Boyce, as well as his two children Colby Lee Boyce and Shelby Dianne Schweda.

Jim had a great knack for numbers, teaching himself drafting in high school and making it his career being a project engineer. Whether it was building things for his girls or explaining to his cherished grandchildren how things worked.

Jim's memory will live on in our hearts. In lieu of flowers

The Celebration of James' Life will be Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at 12 noon with lunch at 12:30pm at the  Elks Lodge (back entrance) 3200 Lansing Ave., Jackson, MI  49202
