Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at home.  Born May 18, 1929 at home in Parma, Michigan to son of Theron R. and Avalee Brewer.  He graduated from Parma High School.  He was a man of many skills.  He could fix everything, cars, motors, and all household items too!  He loved airplanes. He earned his private pilot license even before a driver’s license.   He and his family also enjoyed radio-controlled airplanes, spending weekends at the airfield flying planes.  He retired from Sears after 17 years of service, working as District Manager, and Parts Buyer at the Sears Tower in Chicago, IL.   He was a life time member of the Free & Accepted Masons, Lodge #183 of Parma, MI.

Surviving are his loving wife of 75 years, Patricia L. (Owen) Brewer; 2 children, Duane K. Brewer, and Ruth I. Sutton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.  Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen A. Abell; son, Alan R. Brewer; daughter-in-law, Shirley Brewer; his parents; 2 sisters, Marcele and Charlene.

The Celebration of Jack’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49203 with Masonic Lodge service and Michael D. Mason officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.
