Irving Lawrence Osborne of Jackson, passed away June 3, 2024 at the age of 95. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores M. Osborne (Davis, Maxson, Small), sister Arlene Hobley, brother Ted Osborne and grandson Chad Dermyer as well as his parents Lawrence and Rose Osborne. Irving is survived by his sister Joan Kuhl, son Reid (Jeanne) Osborne, daughter Anne (Scott) Barnett, stepsons Jack (Sandy) Maxson, Doug (Angie) Hartzell and Mark (Betsy) Hartzell along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Irving attended St. Mary’s elementary school before attending Michigan Center Schools. He then joined the U. S. Navy. Irving worked at Clark Equipment as a machinist until the company relocated out of state and St. Mary’s as a custodian before retiring. Irving and Dolores spent many years traveling to Southern Texas where they both loved to square dance. The winter Texan life gave him the opportunity to bicycle year around, one of his many hobbies, which also included gardening and his beautiful flowers, working on his cars, music of all kinds and building his own stereo sound system. Irving was laid to rest, with his family and friends present, beside his wife at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
