Irene Louise Price-Greiner

Irene L. Price-Greiner of Spring Arbor, passed away peacefully January 12, 2022 age 79 years.  She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Douglas Greiner; one son Jeffrey (Susan) Price of Dexter; two grandchildren Ashley Pequet and Jordan Range; one great-granddaughter Aniyah Ford; and son-in-law William Range III. She was preceded in death by her first husband Douglas Price in 2002 and her daughter Stacey Price-Pequet in 2020.

Irene spent the majority of her professional career in retail as a buyer for Jacobson Stores, Inc., which was in operation for 138 years before closing.  During her time there, she was awarded the Partnering for Excellence Award in 2001.  The following year she received the 2002 Professional Excellence Award from the alumni association at Spring Arbor University.  After 39 years with Jacobson Stores, Irene was asked to join the advancement team at SAU as director of alumni relations in January 2003.  She retired from SAU in 2016.  Irene also served on the Advisory Council of the Salvation Army.

Irene’s greatest joy was spending time with family.  She was blessed by and adored her friends who were like family.  She resided in Spring Arbor with her husband Doug. 

The Celebration of her life will be held at The Arbor Church, 120 E. Main St in Spring Arbor, MI on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Darold L. Hill officiating, with interment following at Spring Arbor Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service.
