Ilio Amanati, age 93, of Jackson, passed away on May 14, 2021 at Mission Point Health Campus where he had resided for the past three years.
He was born the second son of Torquato and Gustina Amanati in the year 1927. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, of 38 years and beloved son, David, of 12 years. In addition to both parents, his brother Nello preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Daniel who has provided love and care these many years. Survivors also include the Craig Huhn and Jason Bachman families, as well as Penelope, John and family, Bob and Rebecca Moriss, Jacob Showerman and family, Mark Nance, Nathan Richards and family, Joyce Schnider, mother of Melissa Richard and beloved grandmother of Samara Richard; and long-time friends Frank and Gail.
Ilio served in the Army in the Pacific for 18 months, worked for Michigan Gas Storage/Cons-Energy for 34 years. Ilio enjoyed working alongside his son Daniel for +30 years in rentals, convenience stores, laundry stores and Ice Cream retail.
Ilio will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11am.
