Henry Elmer Emert Jr.

Henry Emert, 76 of Summit Township, passed away Saturday August 26th 2023 after a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by is family and his dog Jenni.  Henry was born in Foote Hospital on November 1, 1946 to Henry Elmer Emert Sr and Helen M Emert.  He graduated from Parkside High School. He worked for Clark Equipment for 18 years until they closed. He then went to work for Summit Township where he worked for the DPW until retirement. He then worked for M & K in Blackman Township part time for over 20 Years. Henry was always busy and loved his beautiful home. He loved being with his son and they did a lot together. He also loved his dog, Jenni.  He will be truly missed by all of us. Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation has taken place.  He is survived by his wife Suzanne after 55 years of marriage and their children: Jodi (Brian) Mosley, Michael (Trisha) Emert; Grandchildren Kristin (Josh) Renfer, Megan (Christina) Blair, Abigail Mosley. Great-Grandchildren Josh and Axel Renfer. Willa Blair. Sisters Joan Yates and Nancy Karen Rudd; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Special Niece Hilary(Matt) Slater.  A Celebration of his life will be held September 16th 2023 at 1pm at his home.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice.
