Helen B. Navarre, Age 99, of Leoni Township, passed away under the loving care of her Senior Moments Assisted Living family and Careline. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William J. Navarre in 2007; daughter Mary Alice Bunch in 2022; siblings, Harry, Ruth, Don and Dorothy Gregory, Laura Boothe, Herbert and Robert Pickell.
Helen is survived by three children, Patti (Steve) Hood of Cottontown, TN.; William J. (Kelly) Navarre of Dallas, TX.; and Son-in-law Darrel Bunch of Jackson, MI.; five grandchildren, Heather (Sean) Brafford, Dennis Heie, Eric Navarre, Amber Bunch, and Alicia (Erik) West; great-granchildren, Brenden and Brody; Vincent and Madeline, Quintin, Owen, Matthea, Mateo, and Ellyanna. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Helen worked several jobs around Jackson in her youth, meeting her future husband while working at Bill Cones Restaurant, but she is best known as Aunt Helen, Grandma, as well as the “Avon Lady”, having been a distributor/salesperson since January 5, 1957. She was a Charter Member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm at Watson Funeral Chapel – 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI.
A Celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 2:00pm with Father Leo Xavier presiding at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with visitation from 1:00pm until the time of service.
Per her request, cremation and private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen’s honor can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
