Hannah Christine (Geddes) Wright

Hannah Christine Geddes Wright went to be with her Savior on July 19, 2021.  She is survived by her husband, Dr William Wright; Daughters, Jennifer (Jeff), Rebecca (Jared) and Carrie (Theodore); Grandchildren, Kai, Penelope, Gia, Stella, Oliver and Josephine; Sister, Martha (Dan); Brothers, Charles Jr., John (Rebecca), Paul (Diane) and Joseph (Tonya); several nieces and nephews.  She is proceeded in death by her parents. Hannah was born on January 24, 1947 to Pauline (Witherby) and Charles Geddes.

She spent her childhood and teen years working on the Geddes family farm in Ann Arbor. In 1968 she graduated from University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. While at U of M, she met her husband, William.  Hannah had many interests and hobbies. She was a talented musician, artist and gardener. She had a large inventory of instruments, but especially took joy in playing Folk Music on her hammered dulcimer. She spent countless hours in her garden, painting art to hang up around her home, writing multiple published books, homeschooling her daughters, and centering her life around her faith and her family.  She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Sister and Friend. 

A celebration of her life will be held at The Arbor Church in Spring Arbor, MI on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00am with Pastor Darold L. Hill officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to: Jackson MI Right to Life, Creation.com, or The Arbor Church in Spring Arbor, MI.
