Of Jackson, MI formerly of Taylor, MI passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the age of 64. Greg was the son of Leroy Edward and Eileen Gertrude (Shannon) Digue born March 30, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cathy (Underhill) Digue’; two sons, Blake Digue’ and his girlfriend Regina Abell and Clay (Amanda) Digue’; four grandchildren, Sean, Mackenzie, Kaelyn and Matthew; two brothers, Leroy Digue Jr. and Michael (Linda) Digue; several nieces, nephews and cousins; several dear friends. Greg was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Jean Digue; numerous aunts and uncles. He was a graduate of Taylor Center High School in 1974 and Henry Ford Community College with his Associate Degree in Fine Arts. Greg worked for Jacobson’s Corporate Stores for 26 years, then Saks Fifth Avenue for 10 years retiring in 2012. Greg was a board member of Jackson Civic Art Association. Greg was an artist who loved all types of art. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Greg was a member of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greektown, Detroit and St Alfred’s Catholic Church in Taylor, MI. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Jackson on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 10:00am with Father Tim Nelson officiating. According to Greg’s wishes, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Greg may be made to the family.
Private family visitation will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30pm at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson; Wednesday at the church from 9:00am until the time of Mass. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are limited to 25 people in the building and all must wear masks please.
