Grant Darrell Davis of Spring Arbor, MI passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the age of 74. He was the son of Charles Gerald “C.G.” and Maude “Peggy” Davis, born March 23, 1946 in Battle Creek, MI. Grant is survived by his wife of 46 years, Malinda Davis; three children, Robin (John) Bockmon, Jamie Bondie, and Allison (Alan) Blonde; five grandchildren, Brock (Brandy), Jason (Alli), Brittanie (Drew), Jessica, and Brice (Lauren); six great-grandchildren, Kaeden, Payton, Kariss, Calliope, Finley, Seven; brother, Charles (Kathy) Davis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Claire Davis.

Grant graduated in 1964 from Willow Run High School in Ypsilanti, MI. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Grant retired from the City of Ypsilanti Fire Department after 28 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, board games, spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his “Fat Cat” JoJo. According to his request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held in the early summer of 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson Animal Shelter.
